I am a PhD student at Columbia University in the Department of History. My research is on matters of labor, gender, and the development of industrial capitalism in the United States during the Gilded Age and Progressive Era. In particular, I am interested in how housewives articulated distinct ideas about class and workplace control outside of traditional working-class institutions. My writing has been published in The Nation and is forthcoming in Labor.
