I am a PhD student at Columbia University in the Department of History. I research the development of industrial capitalism in the United States during the Gilded Age and Progressive Era. In particular, I am interested in how unwaged housewives related to wage workers's pursuit of workplace control. My writing has been published in The Nation and is forthcoming in Labor.
