I am a PhD student at Columbia University in the Department of History. I study the transition to industrial capitalism in the United States during the Gilded Age and Progressive Era and am particularly interested in the perspective of unwaged women as they reckoned with the changing material conditions and social status of labor. My writing has been published in The Nation.
